TIME magazine named Bono of Irish rock band, U2 as one of its "Persons of the Year", along with Bill and Melinda Gates (Bill's wife). The magazine releases an annual issue featuring persons (may be a collective) that has tremendously affected people's lives.
Bono was recognized because of his humanitarian works, using his rock satr status to promote aids awareness and eliminating poverty. He was one of the few people who were able to have a session with Gerorge W. Bush and even the late Pope John Paul II.
Bono truly is a modern-day hero (yes, just like that activity in WORLITE class). Aside from making fabulous music, he makes sure he is able to communicate his ideas.
