today, i got to experience how to do "internal line planning"... it's just like brainstorming and presenting your proposed designs for an upcoming collection- including fabrics, styles, assigned colors, suggested retail price, etc etc.
it's so important to plan months in advance, especially in retail. you research and make sure you keep your plans top secret because someone might copy it and all your work will go to waste.
it's also good to have a life plan.
